Description

3-hydroxyphenyl phosphinyl propanoic acid, also known as 2-carboxyethyl phenyl phosphinic acid, is an important intermediate. 3-hydroxyphenyl phosphinyl propanoic acid is widely used in the preparation of organic phosphorus flame retardants, organic phosphorus pesticides, antioxidants, plasticizers, stabilizers, pesticides, catalysts and high-pressure lubricants, and paint molding agents.

As a flame retardant

3-hydroxyphenyl phosphinyl propanoic acid, also known as flame retardant CEPPA, is a halogen-free organic phosphorus-based flame retardant, which is a reactive flame retardant. 3-hydroxyphenyl phosphinyl propanoic acid has the characteristics of thermal stability, anti-oxidation, non-harmful, non-toxic, non-smoke and permanent flame retardant. 3-hydroxyphenyl phosphinyl propanoic acid is suitable for producing permanent flame-retardant polyester products such as polyester chips, filaments, staple fibers, fabrics, and films. After the polyester chip is woven and dyed, the flame retardancy is almost not lost, the flame retardant properties of the fabrics are not lost after washing more than 50 times. Addition of 3-hydroxyphenyl phosphinyl propanoic acid, the flame-retardant polyester products have better spinnability than conventional PET, good hue, good fiber strength, and good dyeability.

And they also have excellent thermal stability, no decomposition during spinning, no odor at the spinning site. 3-hydroxyphenyl phosphinyl propanoic acid can improve the antistatic  and spinnability performance of polyester products, its fibers have good weavability, can pass any spinning system performs spinning processing, and the fabric can obtain permanent flame retardant properties, which is suitable for various fields where conventional PET can be applied. 3-hydroxyphenyl phosphinyl propanoic acid is widely used in flame retardant fields such as textile flame retardant, spinning flame retardant, chemical fiber flame retardant, various clothing, decorative cloth and so on.

Recommended dosage

The added amount of 3-hydroxyphenyl phosphinyl propanoic acid when copolymerized with PTA and EG is 2.5~4.5%, the phosphorus content of the flame-retardant polyester chip is 0.35~0.60%, and the flame-retardant limit oxygen index after spinning the fabric is 30~36%.
