Description

Flame retardant BDP, also known as fyrolflex BDP and Bisphenol A bis(diphenyl phosphate), is a halogen-free organic phosphorus flame retardant. It has the advantages of low volatility, excellent hydrolytic stability and thermal stability. Flame retardant BDP is based on bisphenol A and bisphosphate as monomers. It is mainly used in engineering plastics such as PC/ABS, PVC, PPO/HIPS, etc. It can also be used in cellulose resin, vinyl resin, natural rubber and synthetic rubber.

Usage

Flame retardant BDP is commonly used in engineering plastic alloys, such as PPO / HIPS and PC / ABS alloys. In different resins, flame retardant BDP is generally added in an amount of 8 to 14% to achieve excellent flame retardancy.

Flame retardant BDP can also be used as an effective processing aid for processing ABS, HIPS, and other engineering plastic products. When add 1 ~ 2%, flame retardant BDP can significantly improve the melt flow to maintain the dimensional stability of processed thin-walled products.

Flame retardant BDP also has a good flame retardant effect in epoxy, silicone, and copper clad laminates.

Advantage

According to fire safety standards, the amount of flame retardant BDP is usually about 8 to 18 phr. Compared with other bromine flame retardants, flame retardant BDP does not require any synergist (usually antimony oxide), so it has good Cycle ability. In addition, flame retardant BDP also has good low volatility and thermal stability in the production process of most engineering thermoplastic resins. Due to the obvious fluidity of flame retardant BDP, thin-wall molds can be produced. Finally, its hydrolysis resistance is superior to other flame retardants.
